Pool is a new iOS app that uses AI to organize your phone's screenshots into personalized collections called 'pools.' It automatically categorizes saved content, tracks down original links behind screenshots (e.g., product pages, recipes), and helps users rediscover things they meant to revisit. The app treats screenshots like memories, surfacing time-sensitive ones and fading irrelevant ones. Built by Spinoff Studio founders Maxime Junique and Piet Terheyden, Pool was originally conceived three years ago but shelved until AI matured enough to make the concept viable. The startup raised a $2M+ pre-seed from General Catalyst and Kima Ventures. A follow-up agentic AI personal assistant app is also in the works.
