The design uses a 1/4" SAE air fitting connected to an oil-less compressor mounted on a flotation device with batteries and an inverter. Key safety notes include avoiding gas-powered compressors (CO/CO2 risk), polyester resin (dissolves ABS), and oily compressors. The helmet was tested in a backyard pool and is theoretically rated to 10 meters depth with a compressor supplying at least 41 L/minute.
