Proxmox 9.2 introduced a dynamic load balancer as part of its Cluster Resource Scheduler (CRS) improvements. Previously, when a crashed node came back online, VMs and LXCs would not automatically migrate back, leaving the primary node idle while secondary nodes were overloaded. The new dynamic load balancer monitors resource utilization and automatically redistributes virtual guests when nodes rejoin the cluster, with configurable imbalance thresholds and rebalance methods to prevent overly aggressive migrations.
