Using information theory, the author estimates that text contains over 100 bits of identifying information from demographic features (~17 bits), personality traits (~39 bits), and writing style (~50 bits). Since only ~29 bits are needed to uniquely identify someone among 490 million Anglosphere writers, pseudonymity can theoretically be broken after roughly 1,000 words. Current stylometry research is far from this limit, but an LLM-scale training effort on authorship attribution could plausibly achieve it.
