The Python Software Foundation (PSF) has announced the timeline for its 2026 Board of Directors election, with 4 seats open as current directors Cheuk Ting Ho, Christopher Neugebauer, Denny Perez, and Georgi Ker reach the end of their terms. Nominations open July 28th and voting runs September 1–15. Notably, this year's election will run in parallel with the first-ever Packaging Council (PC) election, following the approval of PEP 772. PSF members who voted last year will be automatically added to the 2026 voter roll. The post also outlines how to affirm voting intent, manage communication preferences on psfmember.org, and how to run for or nominate someone to the board.
