Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon C, an Arm SoC targeting entry-level Windows laptops priced from $300. The chip uses Kryo mobile cores (not the newer Oryon cores) and includes an NPU for AI acceleration. Acer, HP, and Lenovo are confirmed partners, with the Acer Aspire Go 15 being the first known device featuring up to 8GB RAM, 512GB storage, a 15.6-inch FHD display, Wi-Fi 6E, and a 53Wh battery running Windows 11 Home. The announcement was light on technical specifics, likely rushed for Computex 2026, with availability expected later this year. The chip is positioned to compete with Intel Alder Lake-N and Twin Lake processors in the budget segment.
