Plans range from R595/month (city) to R995/month (countrywide), all including unlimited local calls and SMS. The handset features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, 200MP camera, 7000mAh silicon-anode battery, 5G standalone, and Google Gemini AI. Key fine print: speeds are capped at 20Mbit/s, hotspot use is billed separately at R20/GB, and the phone remains Rain's property — customers must return it or face a remote lock if they cancel. Outright purchase is available for R7,999, reducing the monthly plan by R150. A convergence bundle combining unlimited 5G home Wi-Fi and a city mobile plan with both a router and LoopPhone is also available for R995/month. ## Full article daily.dev links to this article rather than hosting it.
