The signal, dubbed V32, features a man reading apparently random numbers twice daily, followed by the word 'attention' in Persian. Radio enthusiasts and intelligence experts have been tracking it, with triangulation pointing to a transmitter somewhere in western Europe. Five days after it appeared, the signal was jammed using a bubble jammer of the same type used against Radio Farda and other Western Persian-language broadcasters. Competing theories suggest the US, Israel, or Turkey as the originator, with the signal potentially carrying coded messages to agents inside Iran via unbreakable one-time-pad encryption.
