Ransomware group Nitrogen has claimed responsibility for breaching Foxconn, a major electronics manufacturer for Apple, Google, Nvidia, and Sony. The attack affected North American facilities, with impacted factories working to resume normal production. Nitrogen claims to have stolen over 11 million files containing confidential customer data, including product schematics and bank statements. As a double-extortion group, Nitrogen both encrypts victim files and threatens to publish stolen data if ransom is not paid.
