EDATEC's ED-IPC1200 is an industrial data acquisition gateway built around the Raspberry Pi Compute Module Zero (CM0). It features RS-485, RS-232, 4x digital inputs, and 4x digital outputs with 3.75kV isolation, plus 10/100Mbps Ethernet, optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, and 4G LTE connectivity. Powered by a Broadcom BCM2710A1 quad-core Cortex-A53 at 1.0 GHz with 512MB RAM and up to 16GB eMMC, it runs Raspberry Pi OS with drivers for industrial interfaces and supports CODESYS, Node-RED, Python, and OpenCV. The fanless unit accepts 9–28V DC input, operates from -20°C to +60°C, and supports DIN-rail mounting. It differs from the earlier ED-IPC1100 by adding DI/DO for direct sensor and relay connections. Priced at $150–$200 on DigiKey, an upcoming ED-IPC1220 variant with expanded I/O is also in the works.
