React Native Windows v0.84.0 has been released, aligned with React Native 0.84.1. Key improvements include standard onClick and onAuxClick events for Fabric components (matching W3C spec), imperative focus() API for programmatic focus management, theme-aware default text color that adapts to light/dark mode, keyboard-only focus visuals matching Windows platform behavior, and stricter hit-testing for overflow:hidden. The release also introduces native performance benchmarking infrastructure covering the full Fabric rendering pipeline. Visual Studio 2026 is now required. Several breaking changes are noted, including the new click events firing where they previously didn't, and theme-aware text color replacing hardcoded defaults.
