Milestones are celebrated and displayed, and readers can opt out of them if desired. The feature includes a widget to track past streaks, including the longest streak and total reading days. Weekends are excluded from the streak, but reading during weekends can still contribute to it. ## Content Creating a reading habit can be huge for your personal growth, but it’s not always easy to maintain. We all need any little bit of dopamin we can get, and if you dedicate time and attention to staying up to date, you deserve it! That’s why we’ve built reading streaks to give you that extra little push and to help you keep at it. How it works: - A pop up will congratulate you on your reading streak milestones. Milestones are counted as a Fibonaci series. Of course you can opt out whenever you want, and it’ll never happen again.  - On the top right you’ll see the reading streak icon. Once you’ve read the first post of the day, it’ll show a flame. Until then it will be empty and will be outlined by a dotted line.  - Click on the icon to see the past week, days you’ve read and when you haven’t. Once you open the widget, you can also see your longest streak and your total reading days since joining daily.dev.  - Everyone needs a break, so we’ve made a weekend freeze.. Weekend days are grayed out and skipping them won’t affect your reading streak. If you do end up reading, those days get a flame and will be counted in your streak. What do you think?
