Red Hat has released a second developer preview of RHEL 10 for RISC-V, based on RHEL 10.2, arriving 13 months after the original preview. The release includes additional upstream code to improve support for the SiFive HiFive Premier P550 and incremental RISC-V Linux improvements. Community members are also reporting success on StarFive JH7110, UltraRISC DP1000 hardware, and QEMU emulation. Red Hat has not announced a timeline for promoting RISC-V support beyond developer preview status, though official support may arrive with RHEL 11.
