Red Hat principal software engineer and OpenClaw maintainer Sally O'Malley has released Tank OS, an open source tool that packages OpenClaw AI agents inside rootless Podman containers on Fedora Linux. The tool is aimed at power users and IT professionals managing fleets of enterprise OpenClaw deployments. Tank OS provides isolation between agent instances, prevents credential sharing, supports persistent state and API key storage, and boots directly into OpenClaw — all without requiring human oversight. The project addresses growing safety concerns around OpenClaw, including incidents of agents deleting emails, leaking private messages, and being targeted by malware.
