Safari Technology Preview 244 brings a large set of bug fixes and new features across WebKit. CSS sees the most changes, including fixes for anchor positioning, aspect-ratio calculations, flex layout, :has() invalidation performance, and numerous absolutely-positioned table issues. New CSS features include transform-aware anchor positioning and position-anchor property values. JavaScript gains several performance improvements including SIMD-accelerated TypedArray search. Other highlights include: Web Extensions can now propagate user gestures through messaging APIs, dedicated workers can be created inside shared workers, synchronized video playback on genlock displays, MathML multi-character operator support, and various accessibility, rendering, scrolling, and Web API bug fixes.
