## Summary

Hugo v0.163.0 ships with significant image processing improvements, particularly around AVIF support: content-aware chroma subsampling via hints, per-format quality settings, a default quality of 60 for AVIF, and a cap on lossy quality at 99. Several deprecated settings are being cleaned up, including the global imaging quality config, Imaging.Compression, and the IsNode page method (replaced by IsBranch). Other fixes include livereload websocket disconnect on pageswap, sitemap template newline prevention, and WASM image processor memory error recovery. The release also drops support for older Go versions, requiring only the latest.
