# Remix 3 goes stable, WebMCP teaches pages to talk to agents

**[Web Digest](https://daily.dev/sources/webdev_digest)** · 4 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

Remix 3 officially exits release candidate status with a Prisma hosting incentive attached. WebMCP is picking up real adopters, with Shopify shipping checkout tools and a personal site demo showing an agent reading live data with zero scraping. Prisma ORM 8's manifesto reframes migrations as something safe to hand to AI agents. And a GlassWorm-linked malware cluster is still spreading through VS Code theme extensions months after a coordinated takedown.

## Remix 3 is stable

After its release candidate run, Remix 3 is officially out. There's a small promo attached: ship a Remix 3 app to Prisma and DM the maintainer for three months free hosting. The bigger pitch is the new component system, which Michael Jackson says keeps everything people already liked about component-based development while cutting down on wrapper boilerplate. If you held off during the RC phase, this is the signal to go try it. [Read more](https://daily.dev/posts/uxkGb8JKF)

## WebMCP moves from proposal to production tools

WebMCP lets a web page expose its own functionality as callable tools for an AI agent, instead of making the agent guess from the DOM or screenshots. The spec is still shifting under everyone's feet (navigator.modelContext just became document.modelContext), but Chrome has it in origin trial and real usage is showing up. Shopify added WebMCP tools to checkout so an agent can navigate, read order state, update fields, and submit, handing control back to the buyer for anything like 3D Secure. One developer put tools on every page of his personal site and had an agent correctly answer a speaking-schedule question with zero scraping, just two tool calls. ## Prisma ORM 8 makes migrations safe to delegate to agents

Prisma's engineering lead published a manifesto for ORM 8 that drops the native Rust binary entirely, making the codebase pure TypeScript and tree-shakeable enough to run in serverless, edge, and browser contexts. The bigger change is how migrations work: changes become named, reviewable operations checked before and after execution, with no reset command and explicit approval required for anything destructive. That's clearly aimed at a world where an AI agent might be the one proposing the migration. ORM 7 sticks around for 18 months if you need to migrate slowly. ## GlassWorm-linked malware is still spreading through VS Code themes

Socket researchers found a new cluster of malicious theme extensions across the VS Code Marketplace and Open VSX, tied together by shared Git history and Russian-language dev comments. Two were confirmed malicious: Cosmic Nebula Themes shares an AES key and Solana dead-drop address with the previously documented GlassWorm campaign, and Aurora Nocturne Night Theme dropped an obfuscated loader tied to XWorm RAT infrastructure. This is happening despite a May 2026 coordinated takedown by CrowdStrike, Google, and Shadowserver, a reminder that killing the infrastructure once doesn't kill the campaign.
