Google is introducing RemoteCompose, a new framework powering Jetpack Glance widgets across Android form factors including mobile, Wear OS, and Android Auto. Widgets built with Glance on top of RemoteCompose support expressive components, snap scrolling, and particle systems, while being battery efficient, adaptive, and backwards compatible. The same framework powers the AI-driven 'Create My Widget' feature. Developers building adaptive mobile widgets can now target cars and watches with minimal extra effort as Wear OS aligns its tech stack with mobile via Jetpack Glance.
