# Removing the Security Barrier to Agentforce Adoption

## Summary

Salesforce's Private Connect provides a private, dedicated network path connecting customer environments to Salesforce services (Agentforce, Data 360, Tableau, GovCloud) without traversing the public internet. Originally AWS-only, it has evolved into a multi-cloud platform processing ~120 TB of data and 683 million requests monthly across 15 AWS regions. The architecture was redesigned from VPN tunnels and proxy layers to a lightweight v2.0 built on private links and transit gateways, reducing provisioning from weeks to under 30 minutes. The platform supports regulated industries in healthcare, banking, and government by meeting strict data governance requirements, and is expanding to support new AI workloads, MCP endpoints, and additional cloud providers.
