The report highlights a growing overlap between API and AI security: 2,185 AI-related vulnerabilities were identified, with 786 overlapping with API vulnerabilities. AI platforms accounted for 15% of API-related breaches. Additionally, 315 vulnerabilities involved the Model Context Protocol (MCP). A striking 97% of API vulnerabilities can be exploited with a single request, 99% are remotely exploitable, and 59% require no authentication.
