About seven years ago, I moved from Hanoi to a remote life and built my portfolio with Hugo, a fast static-site CMS. I loved the speed and flexibility, but by the end of 2025, I switched back to WordPress with Bricks Builder.

WordPress may not be the trendiest stack, but it remains practical, flexible, and extremely productive, especially for portfolios, business sites, and client work.
At the end of the day, utility beats “cool.” Sometimes finishing the product matters more than chasing the perfect tech stack.
