Robotic “SuperLimbs” could help moonwalkers recover from falls

MIT engineers are developing wearable robotic limbs called SuperLimbs to assist moonwalking astronauts in recovering from falls and conserving energy during missions on the moon. The SuperLimbs system is designed to physically support astronauts and lift them back on their feet after a fall, providing a safe way to recover. This technology could prove especially useful for the upcoming Artemis mission, which aims to build the first permanent moon base and involves physically demanding tasks.
