Rokky, a key distribution platform, has launched a free unofficial browser plugin called Steam Key Checker that lets publishers and developers verify whether distributed Steam keys have been redeemed. The tool works by uploading a CSV of issued keys and checking them against a Steam partner account. It targets publishers managing large volumes of keys for bundles, press, or influencer campaigns. Rokky CEO Vadim Andreev notes the tool fills a gap Steam itself hasn't addressed, though it carries risks: Valve could update Steam to break it, and publishers could potentially misuse it to revoke unredeemed bundle keys — something Andreev explicitly advises against.
