Digitales Media shares the full production story behind Saleem, Jordan's first 3D animated feature film. The 90-minute film follows a nine-year-old boy processing grief after losing his father, with the story developed in close collaboration with clinical psychologists from the script stage. The production ran a distributed pipeline of 75 artists across multiple countries, coordinated from Amman using Maya for animation, Redshift for rendering, and simple tools like Google Sheets, Slack, and Loom for async collaboration. Character design prioritized micro-expression fidelity to convey internal emotional states, while visual and sound design were deliberately trauma-sensitive. Alongside the film, Digitales built Amal for Children, a mental health support platform with a facilitator curriculum, animated series, and therapy guides now active in 16 countries with over 3,000 children enrolled. The film won nine awards and became the highest-grossing Arabic film in Jordan, with VOD distribution on Shahid upcoming.
