Snapshot works across posts (TLDR, paragraphs, selected text, poll results), Briefings (bullets, sections), Happening Now highlights, Hot Takes, and profile pages. Additionally, a new Slack integration allows sharing posts directly to any channel in a Slack workspace, posting as the user rather than a bot. ## Content Here's a habit we all do and don't even notice. You see a major headline, take a screenshot and send it over to your friends and peers via WhatsApp, Slack, and whatnot. So tedious and old school of us, so now we have Snapshot. It's an easy way to create good looking, well cropped images that you can easily share wherever you want in just one click. And it will even make you look better since the design here is just top notch. Credit to @thecoverliker See this beautiful example right here:  ## How do I use it? Look for the icon at the end of this paragraph, it's the snapshot icon. Click on it and an image will be copied to your clipboard for you to drop anywhere you wish. Select any text on the platform and a new bar will appear, hit the snapshot button and the image will highlight this text.  ## Where you'll find it Snapshot isn't just on posts. It's on pretty much anything worth sending someone: - **Posts**: the TLDR, any paragraph, any text you select, and poll results once votes are in - **Briefings**: any bullet or paragraph, or the whole **Must know** section as one card - **Happening now**: an expanded highlight's TLDR, or just the part of it you select - **Hot takes**: from the swipe deck or from anyone's profile, credited to whoever wrote it - **Your profile**: your Reading Overview, your Badges & Awards, your Achievements, or a single achievement ## Slack as a first class citizen As part of making it easier to share and become the smartest guy in the room, you can now share a post directly to any channel in your Slack organization from daily.dev. Install the Slack app, look for the Slack icon and hit the road.
