PayPal has received a subpoena from the Securities and Exchange Commission related to its USD-pegged stablecoin, PYUSD. This comes after PayPal launched the stablecoin in August, becoming the first major U.S. financial institution to do so. Other tech companies have also faced regulatory scrutiny over their involvement with digital currencies.
