GitHub Copilot Chat on web now supports semantic issue search, allowing users to find, group, and analyze repository issues using natural language queries. Powered by a new semantic issues index, it understands query intent and surfaces semantically related issues even when worded differently — useful for finding issues without remembering exact titles or filtering by platform/environment. The feature is generally available to all Copilot plan users.
