Not even exaggerating — after switching to Brave, I didn’t realize how many ads the internet was throwing at me every day.

Opened the stats and saw thousands of ads and trackers blocked already 💀
Pages load faster, laptop runs cooler, and I didn’t install a single extension.

But the craziest part?

YouTube → 0 ads (without Premium 😄)
Spotify web → no random ad breaks

It honestly feels like I unlocked the “clean internet” mode.

Now going back to Chrome feels painful 😂

So tell me — what actually replaces Brave in 2026?

> You guys should try [Helium](https://helium.computer). And I replaced Brave with it. I discovered [Kagi](https://kagi.com), which is the best search engine by far and does not provide personalized and ad-based tailored search results, mainly because it's ad-free. They've got a free/trial version. But paying for a search engine with AI integration is worth every penny.

> If your goal is blocking ads/trackers, look into a DNS sinkhole.  Personally I use Pi-Hole and if you're on my wifi ads and trackers are blocked at the network level never making it to the device.
