# Server-Timing response headers will pass through to the client

**[Vercel](https://daily.dev/sources/vercel)** · 1 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

Starting August 10, 2026, Vercel's CDN will pass through the Server-Timing response header to clients instead of stripping it. This allows backend metrics like database query times and cache hits to surface in the browser's network panel and via the PerformanceServerTiming API. Developers who want to preserve the old behavior of stripping the header can configure a transform rule in vercel.json.
