# Set pull request limits at the organization level

**[GitHub Changelog](https://daily.dev/sources/github_updates)** · 1 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

GitHub now supports setting pull request limits at the organization level. This feature lets admins define how many open pull requests a user without write access can have simultaneously. Previously only configurable per repository, the new organization-level setting enables consistent policy enforcement across all repos from a single place, reducing administrative overhead for maintainers managing large numbers of repositories. The setting is found under Organization Settings > Moderation tools > Interaction limits.

## Questions this post answers

### How do I set pull request limits for an entire GitHub organization instead of each repository separately?

GitHub now supports organization-level pull request limits, letting admins define how many open pull requests a user without write access can have at once across all repositories at once. Go to organization settings, then Moderation tools, then Interaction limits, and set the limit at the bottom of the page. Previously this required configuring each repository individually.
