Cassidy Williams has released todometer v3, a major update to her open source Electron/React desktop to-do app with a progress bar. Key changes include: task editing and drag-and-drop reordering using dnd kit, migration from localStorage to SQLite for data storage (enabling cloud sync via file placement), a new settings menu, a local API and MCP server for integration with other tools, updated SVG icons and logo, and an automated GitHub Actions build/release pipeline with auto-update support. AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) were used to assist with state management and the SQLite migration.
