The redesign moves the circular LCD display from inside the knob to a separate breakout board, eliminating the need for motors with hollow shafts and expanding motor compatibility. The new design features a modular motor carrier board with multiple mounting holes and connector types, easier-to-solder PCB components, and replaces the original LILYGO T-micro32 Plus MCU with a cheaper, more accessible ESP32.
