The app uses the Gale-Shapley Stable Matching algorithm (from a 1962 economics paper) to curate one match every 72 hours based on a compatibility questionnaire covering interests, habits, and values. If both parties agree, contact details are revealed, and the app suggests 'Date Quests' as icebreaker activities. The pilot is currently limited to single civil servants, with no confirmed plans for wider public release. Tokyo launched a similar municipal dating app in 2024, and Singapore's move comes amid record-low birth rates despite existing pro-family incentive programs. ## Full article daily.dev links to this article rather than hosting it.
