SK Hynix is approximately $50bn away from a $1 trillion market capitalization, sitting at ~$948bn after a 9x rally over two years driven by surging demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM). The company is the world's largest HBM supplier, with its 2026 supply already sold out and a likely shortage extending into 2027. SK Hynix is expected to supply roughly two-thirds of Nvidia's HBM4 demand for the Vera Rubin platform. Q1 revenue nearly tripled year-on-year, crossing 50 trillion won for the first time. If it crosses the $1tn threshold, South Korea would become the first country outside the US to host two trillion-dollar companies simultaneously, alongside Samsung Electronics.
