Snowflake has announced several updates to its CoCo (Cortex Coding) AI platform targeting enterprise-scale adoption. CoCo Desktop is now generally available for macOS and Windows, providing a native development environment with integrated access to local files, repositories, and Snowflake context. Cloud Agents are also generally available in Snowsight, enabling browser-based web search, shell execution, and Python scripting without a local install. New AI cost governance features include per-user quotas, automated notifications, and real-time spending visibility. Agent Settings (public preview) lets admins configure default models and roll out configurations across teams via role-based access controls. CoCo Mobile for iOS and Android is in private preview. Snowflake also reports a ~28% reduction in cost per prompt from internal efficiency improvements, with ~20% average cost reduction seen across customer usage.
