The KVM maintainers explicitly attribute this to an overwhelming volume of AI-generated patch submissions flooding the review queue, making it too difficult to evaluate new feature work. Other architectures fared better: RISC-V gains batched G-stage TLB flush support, s390 adds 2G hugepage support, Intel gets nested MBEC and TDX improvements, and AMD gains nested GMET, gPAT virtualization, and mediated PMU enhancements.
