A modder named EVV1E has created Waylandcraft, a Minecraft mod that runs a fully functional Wayland compositor inside the game. Using the Fabric mod loader on Linux, players can open real application windows inside Minecraft — including a Linux terminal, video players, and games like Osu. The mod is Linux-only and windows are only visible to the local player, not other server participants. Dependencies include Minecraft 26.1.2, Fabric, xkbcommon 1.11.0, and xkbcli.
