# Someone used four LED strips to create a 'screen' by spinning them around really quickly

**[XDA Developers](https://daily.dev/sources/xda-developers)** · 2 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

A hobbyist known as camander321 built a persistence-of-vision (PoV) display using a Teensy 4.1 microcontroller and four SK9822 LED strips of 32 LEDs each, offset to create 128 addressable rows. Spinning at roughly 1,500 RPM, the strips refresh 360 times per revolution to form 360 columns, producing a spinning cylindrical video display. A Hall sensor detects rotation speed and adjusts the refresh rate accordingly to keep the illusion stable regardless of spin speed. The creator says more demos may follow if there's enough interest.
