SpaceX has gone public on Nasdaq, pricing 555.6 million shares at $135 each to raise $75 billion — the largest IPO in history. Shares opened at $150 and closed up 19% on the first day, with continued gains the following day. The IPO made Elon Musk the world's first trillionaire, with Musk retaining over 85% of voting power. Around 4,400 SpaceX employees stand to become millionaires. The S-1 revealed SpaceX lost $4.9 billion on $18 billion in revenue in 2025, with total losses exceeding $37 billion since inception. Pre-IPO compute deals with Anthropic ($1.25B/month) and Google ($920M/month) were also disclosed. SpaceX COO Gwynne Shotwell hinted at a possible Tesla-SpaceX merger during a CNBC interview.
