Spotify has launched Podcast Clips, a new feature allowing listeners to trim, save, and share specific audio moments from podcast episodes. Accessible via a scissors icon in the Now Playing view, the tool is available globally to both free and Premium mobile users. Clips can be shared via social media, messaging apps, or direct links, and are stored in the user's Spotify Library. The feature complements the existing Chapters tool, which has seen over 2 million saves per month since launch. Spotify frames the feature as a way to boost podcast discoverability and turn listeners into content distributors, competing indirectly with TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels as podcast sharing platforms. The launch is part of a broader 2026 push that includes AI-powered Q&A, Personal Podcasts, and a new creator Memberships monetisation tool.
