Technologists are working on fully peer-to-peer applications to achieve greater decentralization. Spritely and Veilid are two leading projects in this effort. Spritely focuses on building distributed apps that don't even have to know they're distributed, providing privacy and security through object capabilities. Veilid, on the other hand, offers private routing and a multi-writer Distributed Hash Table (DHT) for secure communication and data retrieval.
