Google has released two new generative media models for developers: Nano Banana 2 Lite (gemini-3.1-flash-lite-image), a fast and cost-efficient image generation model at $0.034 per 1K images with 4-second latency, and Gemini Omni Flash (gemini-omni-flash-preview), a multimodal video generation and conversational editing model priced at $0.10 per second of video output. Both are available via Google AI Studio, the Gemini API, and Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Developers can chain the two models together — using Nano Banana 2 Lite for rapid image generation and passing results to Omni Flash for video animation. Three demo apps (Anywhere, Space Lift, Omni Product Studio) illustrate end-to-end workflows. Current limitations for Omni Flash include 10-second max video length and no audio reference support yet.
