Uplift Microhome won the 2026 MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition, taking home the $100,000 Danny Lewin Grand Prize. The startup builds reusable, modular emergency housing units with self-contained batteries and water reservoirs that can be deployed off-grid in hours using standard equipment, compared to FEMA's average four-month deployment time. Second place went to Mohan, which uses generative AI diffusion models to create 3D maps of the Earth's subsurface to help mining companies locate copper deposits. Third place was awarded to Iceberg Systems, which uses multi-agent AI to simulate systemic economic risk. The Audience Choice Prize went to Pixology, an agentic AI platform for sports content monetization. The competition drew over 80 applications and seven finalists pitched at MIT's Kresge Auditorium.
