Oh Dear has launched email subscriptions for status pages. Visitors can subscribe via a double opt-in flow and receive inbox notifications when a monitored site goes down or recovers. The feature includes flap protection to avoid notification floods, one-click unsubscribe, anti-spam measures (honeypot, rate limiting, Cloudflare Turnstile), and automatic pruning of unconfirmed addresses after seven days. A default limit of 500 confirmed subscribers per team applies, with increases available on request. Subscriber management is available via a dedicated tab in the status page settings. The move was enabled by switching email infrastructure to Cloudflare, reducing costs enough to make the feature viable.
