I disagree a bit, first learn the BASIC fundamentals, try to build something on your own, only using AI as maybe a hint giver (even that could be too much) and then slowly transition to using both
Because AI (like stack overflow before) can be a tool to ignore some valuable steps that will cost a software developer long term
