Why pay to train someone when you can trick them into doing it themselves? The thing is, we’re not meant to be doing one thing all the time, all day, everyday, forever and ever amen. Total Work is mental illness.\nSome of the worst aspects of the “coding all the time” delusion is what goes on around it:\n\nThis is not magically make you immune to the tech interviews. They’re notoriously broken and I’ve been through of them to know that is is more luck or connections than skill.\nThis is not going to make your corporate job into a Caribbean vacation. Most actual programming jobs revolve around communication and working with people than writing the best code on the planet.\nThis is not going to make you immune to deal with other people’s code.
