## Summary

A maker demonstrates that ironing — a common slicer technique for smoothing 3D print top surfaces — can be skipped entirely by optimizing slicer parameters upfront. Using statistical methods including Bayesian analysis and techniques from mathematician George E. P. Box, he narrowed down 19,200 possible combinations of line width, flow ratio, and print speed to find optimal settings that produce equally smooth surfaces without ironing, saving approximately 34% of print time.
