Mitchell Hashimoto, co-founder of HashiCorp and creator of the Ghostty terminal emulator, announces a new company called Superlogical. The company will start by shipping a terminal multiplexer, built on top of libghostty (the MIT-licensed library powering Ghostty). Hashimoto explains his journey since leaving HashiCorp in 2023 — focusing on family, philanthropy, and building Ghostty — and how his curiosity about the future of terminal usage led him to found Superlogical. Ghostty itself remains a non-profit with no commercialization plans. Superlogical is hiring and offering newsletter sign-ups for beta access.
