# swizec.com is now on TimberJS, a new React framework

## Summary

Swizec Teller's personal blog swizec.com, now 20 years old, has been migrated from Gatsby to TimberJS, a new React framework built on React Server Components. The rewrite cut deploy times from 45 minutes to 4 minutes. TimberJS enables interactive islands (voting, newsletter subscribe via server actions) within a mostly static site, without requiring a full mental model shift like Next.js does. The project was vibe-coded using Claude Code during paternity leave. The UI uses Astryx, a new component library from Meta.
