The employee is accused of signing off on falsified end-user and 'know your customer' documents that helped restricted Nvidia GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra servers pass export review before being diverted to China via shell companies and third-country transshipment routes. The case, which began with a drug bust and expanded to implicate Super Micro and its Taiwanese distribution partners, has now reached inside Nvidia itself. Because Taiwan lacks a law directly criminalizing AI chip exports to China, prosecutors are pursuing charges of document forgery and breach of trust. The investigation runs parallel to a US Justice Department case alleging a $2.5 billion scheme involving similar tactics, with Super Micro co-founder Wally Liaw among those charged.
